Never miss a recipe!

Weekly updates from Living Free

Hello Everyone! I’m back and hopefully for a while. I’ve really enjoyed all the traveling I’ve had the opportunity to do, but it’s time to really bunker down and get a masters thesis written! With my feet firmly planted in the U.S. of A. :) I had a great time though, I went on a mission trip of sorts to Swaziland and Lesotho. It was amazing to see how the Lord used us to make differences in the people’s lives there, but it was also just as much of a blessing to see how He worked in my own life. If you’re interested in learning a little bit more about my trip, as well as some of the food I ate along the way, check out my most recent blog post!

There are some seriously impressive recipes this week, in my humble opinion. You all have been very busy! And now if only I had the time to get busy with trying some of these recipes! Sometime soon I hope :)

I’ve been doing alot of thinking about these weekly blog posts. At the end of the day, I started them because I wanted to help create a better network of sharing and to exhibit all the wonderful recipes that my friends are making. But I feel like it would be better if there was more interaction or input from you all. I have no idea what would work or how to go about creating more opportunities for increased interaction, but I thought I’d float the idea out to all of you. Vote on your favorite recipes, nominate someone’s recipe for a top ten, etc are things I’ve thought about. I would truly value any of your inputs on this! I’m certainly not an expert on who’s recipes are ‘best’, so I want to find a way to open up the floor a little bit. I’m just not sure how… but I want it to be as fun and useful for everyone as possible :)

Thanks for adding mine! Great idea about getting everyone else involved. What about doing your top ten and then adding a linky where people could include their one favorite recipe from the last week, with a rule being that you can’t pick one of your own.

  2. Heather says:

Thanks so much for highlighting my soup! I’m glad like it! Oooh, love Iris’ idea too!

  3. Stephanie says:

Great group of recipes this week! I am bookmarking the chicken Parmesan and the raw cinnamon toast (that one will be one of the first recipes to break in my new dehydrator!)

  4. I enjoy hearing about the recipes you enjoy the most, it always leads to new blogs and fantastic cooks.

  5. Ricki says:

Yet another awesome list! I saw Deanna’s cinnamon toast recipe and must try it. And those almond-choc chip cookies–oooh la la! For savory, I’ll have to go with Maggie’s burgers. :)

  6. Maggie says:

What a great selection of recipes this week Aubree. It’s good to see you back too! Thank for featuring my burgers! The choco chunk cookies sound interesting, and of course so does Deanna’s cinnamon toast. YUM!

  7. Ricki says:

My two cents on the future of the list: I love the idea of nominating posts–that way, you’ll open up the possibilities to blogs you yourself may not have read. I also found that the guest post Top 10s often included new blogs that might not have been regularly featured. . . but I love your lists however you compile them! :)

  8. Jenn says:

Aww thanks so much Aubree, it’s an honor to be on your list this week!
